95 Perry Project Recognized


The 95 Perry Building was recognized with a Buffalo Business First Brick by Brick award as the Best Historic Preservation Project in Western New York for 2008-2009.

The project involved the adaptive reuse of a former storage warehouse in Buffalo's Cobblestone Historic District into an 80,000 square foot mixed use office/retail/residential building. The $12,000,000 project was completed in April of 2008. tenants in the facility include the Empire State Development Corporation, Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, New York Power Authority, Watts Architecture and Engineering and Winsoft. The building also contains a fully equipped fitness center, rooftop patio area, 5 luxury living units and, opening soon, a café restaurant.

The building is owned by Samuel J. Savarino and Christopher Jacobs. The building was developed jointly by Savarino Companies and Avalon Development. Silvestri Architects designed the project. Savarino Construction Corporation served as Construction Manager. Interior design services for the residential units and common areas were provided by Jennifer Wenner. Permanent financing for the project was provided by First Niagara Bank.
