Savarino Companies has recently partnered with 467 Richmond Ave LLC and not for profit entity Rosanna Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts on for the historic renovation and new addition to the former Richmond Avenue Methodist-Episcopal Church Campus and adjacent properties in the City of Buffalo. The historic church, constructed in 1898, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The project will create of a visual and performing arts center on an expanded campus including the reuse of the existing church building neighboring structures and will include a newly constructed apartment building and art gallery.

When complete, the facility will serve as an international destination home to various dance, theatre and music organizations. The development will also include a business incubator, art gallery, affordable residential apartments and event space.

Funding sources for the $12MM project include federal and New York State Historic Tax Credits and permanent financing from the Better Buffalo Fund as well as private equity and private financing.

Savarino is providing project development services including project financing and public approvals.  Savarino will serve as General Contractor for the project. Savarino Properties will have a continuing management role for the campus.
