We are currently seeking a Full-Time Bookkeeper/Construction Administrative Assistant to work out of our Buffalo office Monday to Friday to assist in the day to day operations of the accounting & Construction Project departments. The successful applicant will have career experience and an educational background in bookkeeping, construction accounting and administration.


The Bookkeeper/Construction Administrative Assistant will be responsible for interacting with other accounting and field staff for:

  • Accounts Payable (AP) data entry of Invoices and AIA’s
  • Reconciling vendor statements to Savarino’s AP
  • Job Cost coding, allocating to individual projects
  • Cutting checks
  • Contacting project managers for expense reports
  • Communicating with vendor about AP inquiries
  • Reconciling outstanding checks to accounting system
  • Entering new vendors into the accounting system and obtaining W-9’s
  • Year End 1099 processing
  • Knowledge of Sales Tax
  • Construction Project Support: Subcontractor – verification of Insurance, Lien Waivers, Certified Payrolls & Closeout documents
  • Administrative Support: open and route mail. Answer phones as needed. Filing (electronical and hard copies) photocopies and scanning, typing, correspondences, errands
  • Prior construction office experience is a considerable advantage and accounting

Key Qualifications and skills we are seeking:
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Construction experience preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent problem solving skills

Additional Skill Preferred but not Required:
• Experience in QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience in Sage 300 CRE
• Experience with Procore


Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
