Renovations and improvements to multiple K-12 schools within the Spencerport School District.  Work consists of complete gut demolition and reconstruction of select areas within each of the schools.  All schools were required to remain in occupancy for the duration of the project so the majority of the work needed to be coordinated to be completed either off hours or during school breaks.

Historic restoration to the exterior façades of the Reed Library for the State University at Fredonia originally designed by world-renowned architect I.M. Savarino is serving as General Contractor for the renovation of the historic former Our Lady of Good Counsel church school into 33 affordable apartments for seniors. Funding is provided through Low Income Housing Tax Credits issued through NYS Homes and Community Renewal and federal and NYS Historic Tax Credits.

 

In addition to being General Contractor Savarino provide development services and acquired the property through an affiliate in order to facilitate the project.

First National

The First National project is the historic renovation of the long-abandoned 1915 First National Bank building and adjacent former Siegel’s Shoes building in downtown Olean, New York. The 10 story First National building, known locally as the  “Manny Hanny Building” because its former occupant Manufacturer’s Hanover Bank will house 21 market-rate luxury apartments on floors 2-10. The former bank floor and mezzanine will house an art gallery, restaurant, and event facility. The two-story former Siegel’s Shoes building will be renovated into class A office space. Funding sources include federal and New York State Historic Tax Credits, federal New Market Tax Credits, Downtown Reinvestment Initiative (DRI) grant from New York State Empire Development Corporation, and private financing.

Savarino has been retained as Construction Manager for an expansion to the historic Buffalo and Erie County Botanical gardens in Cazenovia Park in Buffalo, New York. The expansion will add additional interior space for grow areas, plant display areas an event center as well as additional exterior gardens.

 

The construction phase of the project is expected to begin December 2021 with completion in December 2023.
